Who, What and Where
After several years in retirement, the founder directors of The Sweater Shop have reformed to create a revolutionary range of knitwear. Advances in technology now enables us to produce seamless garments. This, mixed with our ethos of excellent quality and value for money, we feel we have improved our offer to meet the current market.
The range is based on classic styles with a modern twist, using the best British wools and eco cotton rich yarns. The garments are produced in a factory unit in the Leicestershire countryside, an area which has a rich history in the textile trade.
Our range is internet based, with a showcase head office in Jersey, Channel Islands. We launched a "taster" range of Classic and On Trend styles in autumn/winter 2011 and are constantly expanding our range.
Seamless technology
All of our products are manufactured using the state-of-the-art knitting technique known as WholeGarment® technology.
Garments are traditionally made with each piece being knitted separately, then cut and sewn together afterwards. In contrast WholeGarment® products are made entirely in one-piece, offering the following exclusive benefits:
• Soft, lightweight comfort and fit
• No annoying, unsightly seams
• Improved stretch and mobility
• Minimal yarn consumption
